4271 Peoples Road

Around 6:23PM on June 17th, 2007, Allegheny County 911 received multiple calls for a reported vehicle

crash, with one vehicle on top of another in the area of 4271 Peoples Road. Multiple calls began coming in with

various locations on Peoples, some in the City of Pittsburgh, and some in Ross Township. From Ross Township,

Stations 246 (Evergreen), 254 (Fire Police), EMS 211 (Ross / West View EMS) were alerted, and for the

City of Pittsburgh, Engine 34 (Perrysville Avenue Station), Rescue 1, and a Medic Unit were started. Ross EMS

arrived first and confirmed multiple vehicles involved with confirmed entrapment. 246 Engine 2, and

246 Chief (Jeff Giger) arrived a short time later and stood by while patient was extricated, and vehicle was towed

away. It is believed the van was coming north on Peoples, hit the curb, gained air and landed on the two vehicles.

The patient in the van's injuries were not life threating.
